Rootin 4 Raymond

The story

Written in rhyme, “Rootin' 4 Raymond” is the story of a small boy who, while under anaesthetic for a hospital 'procedure', is transported to one of his favourite places. Here he meets Robbie, a robin with attitude but also with a 'soft centre' who, with a bit of magic, takes him on an amazing adventure to collect the best medicine of all. On their journey they encounter others who, like Robbie, are “Rootin' 4 Raymond”. When he wakes up, Raymond discovers that his adventure might have been more than just a dream.

 

Raising money

Beginning with proceeds from a recent village 'Burns Night', Rootin' 4 Raymond has also received some generous cash donations from within the community in support of our project. Throughout 2025 other events are planned to help boost the funds, the next being an 'auction of promises' on 4th April (see events).
